Athens- Memorial services for Thomas O. Weldon, 74, Athens, are scheduled for Wednesday, 2:30 P M at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Rev. Denny Sanderson officiating.
Thomas died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his residence.
He was born September 3, 1935 in Del Rio to the late James Oliver and Dorothy Lamar Florell Weldon.
Tom was an inventor and engineer by nature. He knew the mechanics of most everything. He had a gentle spirit and a loving soul. He loved everyone he met, finding the best in everyone. He had been a resident of Athens since 1990.
Preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Ouida Jo Lester Weldon.
Survivors include wife Marsha Weldon, Athens; children Debra Weldon, Little Rock, Ar.; Sandra Weldon, Arlington; Victoria Weldon, Wilmington, N.C.; Darrell Brown, Tulsa, Ok.; Lonnie Brown, Lewisville; step-children Stephane Hardin and husband Matt, Murchison; Paul Berry, Gun Barrel City; granddaughter Miranda Jewett and husband Christopher; step-grandchildren James and Jake Hardin, Murchison; Luke Berry, Kilgore; one step-granddaughter Carlin Berry, Kilgore; Kayla M. Brown, Lewisville; brother James and Jean Weldon, Dallas; sister Mary Claire and Stanley Henderson, Quinlan; 4 nephews and nieces; 4 grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials may be made to Lighted Pathways Hospice, Seven Points, Texas.
