Services for Bro. Ronald E. Carroll, 61, Tyler are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel, Athens with Bro. Mickey Parsley officiating.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Athens.
Bro. Carroll died February 22, 2010 in Tyler.
He was born September 20, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri. Ron graduated from East Texas Baptist College in Marshall with a Bachelor of Arts degree then earned a Masters degree at Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. Bro. Ron's pastoral tenures included Lueders Baptist Church, Lueders; Gorman Baptist Church, Gorman; Temple Baptist Church, New Boston and Concord Baptist Church, Chandler. He has resided in Tyler ten years where he served as house parent for special needs adult men at Breckenridge Village and also served as campus chaplain. He formerly served as moderator for the Eastland County and Bowie County Baptist Associations. He is a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife of 40 years Connie Polson Carroll, Tyler; sons John Edward Carroll and wife Jennifer; Jeremy Carroll all of Ft. Worth; James Carroll and wife Cherryl, Corpus Christi; daughter Jennifer Carroll, Burleson; parents Sidney & Mary Ferguson Carroll, Ft. Worth; brother Kenneth Carroll, Granbury; sisters Joy Ethridge, Ft. Worth; Lawanda Hoover, Jan Carroll, St. Louis, Mo. And grandchildren Katrina, Jonathan and Kaylee Vowell; Trent, Hannah and Trace Carroll.
Pallbearers will be Paul Drewry, Brian Leo, Johnie Melton, Geary Miller, Pat Pyle and Harold Reston.
Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday until service time.
