Obituary for Eloise Baxley Deem

Graveside services for Eloise Baxley Deem of Leander, Texas and formerly of Athens are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens, with Rev. Gene Bishop officiating.
Mrs. Deem died Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Leander, Texas.
She was born on November 13, 1933 in Brooksville, Hernando County, Florida to the late J. J. Baxley and Ollie May Snowden. She married Rex Jones on March 27, 1948 in Valdosta Lowndes County, GA and had three children Gerald, Brenda and Debra.
She was all of her life primarily a homemaker, however she worked as the office manager for Lee-Boy Asphalt Equipment in Athens for approximately 20 years until the death of her second husband William “Bill” Lee in 1986. She was later married to Reginald Deem until his death in 1992.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gerald Jones; her brothers, Dunn Stovall and Albert Stovall; husbands, Rex Jones, William Lee and Reginald Deem.
Survivors include her daughters Brenda Silver and husband Lewis of Tampa FL, Debra Brooks and husband Ray of Leander, TX; her sisters, May Farnham and husband Dave of Athens, TX, and Patricia Carter and husband Enloe of Sorrento, FL; her grandchildren, Stephen, Kimberli, Cody, Blake, Chase, Michelle and Jonah; also 10 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
