Obituary for Robert James Rudkin

Robert was born on December 11, 1939 in Warren, Ohio to the late Albert Anthony Rudkin and Florence Irene Peterson Rudkin. He has resided in Star Harbor, TX since 1991 and previously lived in Plano, TX, Chagrin Falls, OH, and Dayton OH. He was a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Malakoff. The true joy of his life was his wife of 56 years, Pat who he adored.
Rob graduated from the University of Dayton in 1965 with a degree in Economics. He was a champion water skier and a member of the American Water Ski Association. He retired as the Computer Services Business Manager for Raytheon/E-Systems – Garland, TX in 2008. He previously worked for Diamond Shamrock in Dallas, TX and Cleveland, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pat; his parents; sister Carolyn Partlow; and his sons James Robert Rudkin and Tommy Rudkin. Survivors include sons Steve Rudkin and wife Sharon, Spicewood, TX; Dan Rudkin and wife Kristi, Plano, TX; Rick Rudkin and wife Sarah, Llano, TX; daughter Amanda Broadman and husband Matt, Hewett, TX; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Ken Rudkin, Decatur, IL; sister Dorie Branik, Aurora, OH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Nick Rudkin, James Rudkin, Jake Rudkin, Kyle Rudkin, Cullen Rudkin. The funeral mass will be livestreamed on Mary Queen of Heaven Facebook page A celebration of life will take place at 2:00 PM CST at Rob’s home which can be joined remotely at:
In honor of Rob the family has asked for casual attire consisting of a golf shirt. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church 2269 CR1703 Malakoff, TX.
In addition to Facebook live there will be a Zoom meeting that will allow you to see the Mass for Rob: You can use this if you do not have a Facebook account or if the Facebook stream has issues.
